Privacy Policy

Who we are

This site is operated by Atlantic Forge (Diogo Lemos), a sole trader based in Portugal ("we", "us"). For any question about this policy or your data, contact build@atlantic-forge.com. We are the data controller for the personal data described below.

What data we collect

• Contact form. When you send an enquiry, we collect the name, email address, and message you provide, plus an optional company name and, if you choose to tell us, how you heard about us.
• How you reached us. With each submission we also record basic attribution: the page that referred you and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. We use this only to understand where enquiries come from.
• Technical data. With each submission we record the IP address and browser user-agent, used only for security and spam prevention.
• Bot protection. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical signals to confirm you are human. It is designed to be privacy preserving and does not track you across sites.
• Analytics. If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy first, does not use cookies, and does not collect personal data or build cross-site profiles.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To respond to your enquiry and take steps toward providing our services.Legal basis: our legitimate interest, and where relevant, steps taken at your request before entering a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f)).
• To keep the site secure and prevent spam. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the service (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
• To understand aggregate site usage. Legal basis: our legitimate interest, using privacy-first, cookieless analytics only.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data. We use a small number of trusted providers to run the site:

• Cloudflare, Inc. for hosting, storage of submissions, bot protection (Turnstile), and delivery of the notification email that contains your enquiry (Cloudflare Email Sending).

These providers act as our processors. They are based in the United States, so your data may be transferred outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

We keep contact-form submissions for up to 24 months, then delete them, unless an ongoing relationship or a legal obligation requires us to keep them longer. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.

Cookies and similar technologies

We keep cookies to a minimum and never use them for advertising or cross-site tracking. We use two categories:

• Essential. Strictly necessary for security and basic function, for example Cloudflare's bot protection and remembering your cookie choice. These are always on and do not require consent.
• Analytics. If you allow it, we load Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy first and cookieless. It does not run until you opt in.

You choose what to allow the first time you visit, and you can change your choice at any time using the "Cookies" link in the footer.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and RGPD, you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased;
• restrict or object to how we use it;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these, email build@atlantic-forge.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD).

Security

Your data is stored on reputable cloud infrastructure with access limited to what is needed to respond to your enquiry. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect it.

Children

This site is intended for a business audience and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be reflected here.
